detailed process. We provide services within an 80-mile radius from
Monterey to Santa Clara Counties. We begin by coming to your home to
discuss and evaluate your remodeling plans.
We discuss your budget and your needs, then evaluate whether or not they
coincide. “The two, usually, do not meet.” As such, we discuss tailoring
the design to fit the budget. Once we have established a reasonable budget
and you agree to our design fee, we measure the existing space. From there
we note your desires and start preliminary designs for your space.
 We
first focus on space planning for ease and efficiency of movement. We also
evaluate the overall function of relocating walls, appliances, windows,
and doors. Once we have the space plan approved, we focus on the interior
working components and their relation to each other.
Once our space planning is complete and all of
the interior components are designated, we focus on the aesthetics of the
kitchen. At this point, we select the cabinet styling, the wood species,
stain color, countertops, appliance finishes, backsplashes, lighting, and
their relationships to each other.
Once we obtain the above, we establish a final budget and discuss any
revisions or design/color changes and begin the ordering and construction
process. The average kitchen takes approximately 12 weeks to complete. A
long time, but well worth the wait involved with achieving the ultimate
kitchen. |
